Good news for Job-Seekers!
As a part of Aquino administration’s effort to strengthen youth participation for nation building, expose them to gov’t service, life skills training, & economic will-being contribution, the Department of Social Welfare and Development(DSWD) will hire for over 90,865 Filipino Youths nationwide with the allocation budget of more than 1.3 billion.

Who are qualified for the Summer Job?
DSWD is now calling on interested unemployed individuals, whether a students, college graduates, vocational course graduates and even to out of-school youths to apply for summer Jobs under the expanded government internship program (GIP).
How to Apply?
Interested applicants aged 18 to 30, can go to nearest DSWD office nationwide to submit their applications together with a photocopy of their Birth Certificate & Barangay Certification of indigence.
Under the program, qualified applicants may start to work immediately and has to complete the 52 days of work. This means that the applicants may not start at the same time as long as they can complete the 52 days.
Nature of Work
The qualified applicants can be assigned in the dSWD central office, or in the various regional offices including centers/ institutions. Interns will be asked to perform not only actual office work but also assist in the implementation of numerous DSWD programs and projects in the fields.
The interns admitted to into the program shall be provided w/ stipend commensurate to the applicable minimum wage in the region.
For Davao Region
For Davao interested applicants are requested to get applications forms at DSWD office at Corner R. Magsaysay Ave. and D. Suazo St., Davao City. For those in the province application forms are available at their city or municipal social welfare office.
